Identity is a choice (Part 1)

Our identity is shaped by how we see ourselves, even if we aren't fully aware of it. This self-perception sets us on a particular life path. The saying "birds of a feather flock together" illustrates how people with similar interests tend to come together. For instance, if you see yourself as a sports fan, you typically seek the company of other sports fans.

Understand, parents are people too

When we first become aware of the world around us at ages three and four, we take it for granted that our parents have everything under control. The idea that our parents might have shortcomings or struggles is the farthest thing from our minds. Even in households with turmoil, children of this age have an unwavering trust that their parents know best and will always act in their best interest.

Get to know the games people play

Most of us desire a peaceful life, but we share our world with sociopaths and narcissists who exploit others. These individuals can be found at home, on the street, or at work, and they often manipulate to their advantage. Recognizing these acts of manipulation helps us avoid being taken advantage of and the accompanying negative emotions.

School plays an important role in self development

Attending and finishing school can be a life-changing milestone. Often seen as a stepping stone to university and better job opportunities. However, the psychological benefits of completing high school are more significant and profound. This achievement can enhance self-esteem, provide a sense of accomplishment, and promote personal growth and mental well-being.

I’ll be touching on five broad areas: spirituality, family, community/nature, health, and wealth. These aspects have been written about countless times, but what’s different here is my approach and how I apply these concepts in my own life.
