An Introduction
Let's start by asking ourselves: what does it truly mean to be happy? Are we referring to financial success, fulfilling relationships, or something else? In my experience, the first step is identifying the specific area where you seek happiness. Perhaps an even more crucial question is: why do you feel unhappy in the first place?
Before we continue, let me offer a disclaimer. The views expressed on this site are personal and shaped by my experiences and perspectives on life. My goal is to provide an authentic point of view, unfiltered by political correctness or diplomacy. I don't claim to be an authority on the topic of happiness; in fact, I have failed many times on this journey and continue to do so.
So why create this website? Because it's another project I'm willing to risk failure on, and I'm committed to giving it my best effort. True happiness often comes from taking chances, even when there's a possibility of failure. It's the success that follows multiple attempts that brings genuine joy. Ask anyone who has failed their driver's license test numerous times, and they'll tell you how sweet the feeling is when they finally pass. A happy life requires work. As the saying goes, anything worthwhile comes with effort. Finding joy in life is no different, and the road to happiness is full of counter-intuitive principles as well. Like the idea that the more you give, the more you'll receive.
I live a simple and ordinary life, but the net result of my successes and failures is a state where I am financially secure to the extent that losing my job wouldn’t lead to financial ruin. I am present for my family and community, and I am in a good place spiritually, mentally, and physically. Sharing my journey doesn’t mean I have all the answers or that my path to happiness is complete. I'm simply sharing what has brought me a degree of success so far.
As I share these ideas, I will link them to web resources that provide more detailed explanations. By referencing these resources, I acknowledge that these concepts are well-known and not entirely original. The areas I will touch on include spirituality, family and nature, health, and wealth. I value unique perspectives, so I welcome disagreement and new insights. I am open to learning about supported alternatives that can help me on my journey to happiness, as I too, am still a traveler.
Let's share.
